Analytics Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Analytics Engineer to join our data team and help bridge the gap between data engineering and data analytics. This role will focus on ensuring data quality, performing sanity and validation checks, and transforming raw data into clean, reliable datasets for analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business logic and data workflows, enabling them to deliver high-quality data that meets the needs of our analysts and business stakeholders.

Reporting to:

Product Analyst Team Lead

What you will do:  

• Develop, implement, and maintain data quality checks and validation processes across data pipelines.

• Perform sanity checks to identify and resolve data inconsistencies, duplicates, and missing values. 

• Transform raw data from the data lakehouse into clean, validated datasets ready for consumption in the data warehouse.

• Document data quality issues, root causes, and resolutions to improve overall data governance.

• Support analysts by providing reliable and well-prepared data sets, reducing their need to work directly with raw data.

• Contribute to the design and improvement of data workflows and automation around data quality.

• Collaborate closely with data engineers, domain team leads and analysts to understand business requirements and data contexts.

What we need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Proficient in Python, including libraries such as pandas and numpy.

• Experience with SQL and data transformation tools (dbt, Apache Spark, etc.)

• Experience with ETL / ELT pipeline design, implementation, and maintenance (Airflow, Luigi)

• Familiarity with data warehouse technologies (e.g., Apache Druid, Snowflake, Redshift)

• Proficiency with Git (GitLab) for version control.

• Strong understanding of data quality concepts and best practices

• Experience working in cross-functional teams, communicating effectively between technical and business stakeholders

• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

• Experience with finance data (transactions, clearing reports)

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience in roles bridging data engineering and analytics

• Familiarity with financial data domains such as online payments, banking and reporting
