Data Analyst
We are seeking a Data Analyst / Data Scientist (Product) for a fixed-term contract to lead our product insights and experimentation workflows over the coming months. You will use various methods and techniques to transform raw data into actionable insights, to help us decode user behavior and drive our product strategy. You’ll be a core partner to our Marketing and Product teams, moving beyond simple reporting to uncover the "why" behind our data.
We need someone who is naturally curious and highly analytical—someone who doesn't just deliver a chart, but delivers a recommendation. While your primary focus is on insights, reporting, and experimentation, you should have the technical skills to manage data workflows and pipelines to maintain high data quality and optimize the systems that power your analysis.
Typical responsibilities include:
Analyze User Behavior: Conduct deep-dive analyses into user journeys to identify friction points and uncover the key drivers of retention and engagement
Support Decision-Making: Partner with Marketing and Product teams to provide data-backed insights, acting as the go-to resource for ad-hoc requests and translating complex business questions into actionable reports
Drive Experimentation: Design and analyze A/B tests to validate hypotheses and measure the impact of new product features and marketing initiatives
Define & Track Success: Establish KPIs for new initiatives and build intuitive dashboards to keep cross-functional teams aligned on performance
Predictive Modeling & Forecasting: Prepare datasets for prescriptive and predictive modeling to anticipate user needs and forecast key business metrics
Own the Data Lifecycle: Manage the end-to-end data process by organizing raw data from various sources, optimizing data pipelines, and refining the dbt models that power your analysis
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with data engineers and stakeholders to evaluate business objectives and enhance event-tracking setups to ensure high data integrity and quality
We’re looking for someone with the following skills and qualities:
4+ years of experience in data science or product analytics (with a solid understanding of data engineering principles)
Strong knowledge of statistics and probability is a must
Proficiency in Python, SQL, or other programming language and database management
Experience with visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms
Experience with product analytics tools such as Amplitude, Google analytics, etc.
Experience with A/B testing
Experience with Databricks
Familiarity with data structures and algorithms is a plus
