Data Engineer

We are building a next-generation analytical platform from the ground up and are looking for a Data Engineer to lay its foundation. This is a high-impact role where you will unify data into a single warehouse, design scalable processing workflows, and empower our team with high-speed analytical tools.

🚀 Your Goals:

• Lay the Foundation: Architect and build a high-performance analytical platform from the ground up to support millions of users.

• Strategic Migration: Lead the seamless transition from legacy systems to a modern, scalable data architecture.

• Efficiency & Scale: Optimize storage costs and processing speeds while ensuring 100% data reliability.

• Empower Analytics: Provide the team with rapid-access tools and a "single source of truth" for business-critical decisions.

👾 Your Job:

• Architecture Design: Build the core infrastructure, focusing on performance, scalability, and long-term stability.

• Data Transformation: Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like dbt.

• Optimization: Refine table schemas and loading processes to boost query speeds and reduce operational overhead.

• Data Quality & Monitoring: Implement rigorous monitoring for data availability and BI report accuracy to ensure a transparent migration.

• AI Integration: Leverage LLMs (Large Language Models) to automate SQL generation, data mapping, and documentation.

• Legacy Support: Maintain existing databases and pipelines during the transition period to ensure zero downtime for the business.

💜 Requirements:

• SQL & Python Mastery: Deep expertise in writing efficient SQL and using Python for programmatic data manipulation.

• Migration Track Record: Proven experience in data migration projects or shifting between architectural paradigms.

• Transformation Expert: Advanced knowledge of dbt or similar modern data transformation frameworks.

• DB Diversity: Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Redshift, or other high-performance DBMS.

• Autonomy: Ability to work effectively in a remote environment without micro-management.

Would be an advantage:

• AI-Driven Workflow: Experience using LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude) to automate routine migration tasks.

• DevOps Mindset: Skills in setting up CI/CD for data pipelines.

• Data Governance: A clear understanding of how to build governance frameworks in a fast-growing environment.
