HR Migration Specialist

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Migration Specialist to support the operational side of employee immigration processes. The role focuses on the timely submission of immigration applications, direct communication with the Migration Department in Nicosia, coordination of mandatory appointments, and ensuring employees complete all required immigration-related procedures as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Submit immigration applications and supporting documentation to the Migration Department in Nicosia, both in person and through online government portals, ensuring all submissions are made within required deadlines.

  • Communicate directly with the Migration Department regarding submitted applications, attend appointments, follow up on pending cases, and resolve operational issues when required.

  • Track the status of all immigration applications and ensure residence permits (Pink Slips) and other official documents are collected on time.

  • Coordinate and schedule immigration-related appointments for employees for the Yellow slip, ensuring a smooth and timely process.

  • Accompany employees to mandatory appointments, including biometrics, medical examinations, bank account openings, and other immigration-related procedures.

  • Act as the main point of contact for employees throughout the operational immigration process, providing guidance on appointments, required steps, and timelines.

  • Maintain accurate records of submitted applications, appointment schedules, permit expiry dates, and case statuses.

  • Liaise closely with the People Services team to ensure prepared documentation is submitted correctly and on time.

  • Coordinate with external service providers and government authorities to facilitate immigration and onboarding processes.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows and reduce processing times.

  • Support the People Services team with other migration-related administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

You will thrive if you have…

  • 2+ Years of previous experience supporting corporate immigration is a must.

  • Experience interacting directly with the Migration Department or other government authorities.

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple ongoing cases.

  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with both employees and government officials.

  • A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.

  • Fluency in English and Greek; Russian would be considered an advantage.

  • A valid driving license and willingness to travel regularly to government offices and employee appointments.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with online government portals for immigration applications and renewals.

  • Knowledge of Cyprus Labor Law

  • Good knowledge of Excel
