 What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for a Tech Lead - .NET Developer to lead a development squad and drive the technical direction of our engineering team. In this role, you'll combine hands-on technical leadership with architectural ownership — designing scalable, event-driven, and distributed systems using .NET, while mentoring developers, championing engineering best practices, and ensuring delivery aligns with both business objectives and long-term technical strategy. You'll act as the bridge between engineering, product, and management, balancing hands-on coding and architecture with team leadership and stakeholder collaboration.

What You’ll Do:

Leadership and Team Management

• Lead a development squad, providing technical direction and ensuring alignment with the company's technical vision and business objectives

• Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, ownership, and continuous learning

• Conduct 1:1s, provide constructive feedback, and support the professional growth of developers

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, QA, Business Analysts, and cross-functional teams to refine requirements and ensure successful delivery

• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and building a strong, high-performing engineering team

Architecture and System Design

• Define and implement scalable, maintainable, high-performance architectures using Clean Architecture, Vertical Slice Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices and distributed backend solutions using .NET / .NET Core

• Design event-driven architectures using asynchronous communication, messaging, queues, and pub/sub patterns

• Apply advanced distributed-system patterns such as CQRS, Event Sourcing, Saga Pattern, and Eventual Consistency where appropriate

• Design reliable event flows with idempotency, retry mechanisms, fault tolerance, and resilient message processing

• Ensure architectural consistency across systems and provide guidance on complex architectural decisions

• Identify technical risks, scalability limitations, and performance bottlenecks, and proactively address them

Development and Code Quality

• Write and maintain high-quality, efficient, scalable, and testable code using C# and .NET

• Conduct comprehensive code reviews and establish coding standards and engineering best practices

• Promote SOLID principles, Clean Code, design patterns, and maintainable development practices

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide hands-on support to developers

• Ensure APIs, microservices, and distributed components are designed for reliability, scalability, and maintainability

Testing and Quality Assurance

• Establish and enforce a comprehensive testing strategy across the software development lifecycle

• Design and implement unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end tests for critical business functionality

• Ensure adequate test coverage for APIs, microservices, event-driven workflows, and distributed components

• Develop testing strategies for asynchronous/event-driven systems, including event handlers, retries, idempotency, and eventual consistency

• Collaborate with QA engineers on acceptance criteria, test strategies, and quality standards

• Promote shift-left testing and early defect prevention

• Continuously improve test coverage and automation based on production incidents and root-cause analysis

Agile Delivery and Collaboration

• Own technical delivery and ensure development activities align with sprint and release objectives

• Break down complex requirements into actionable technical tasks; support estimation and planning

• Balance business priorities, technical debt, and long-term technical strategy with Product and Engineering stakeholders

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives

• Identify delivery risks and proactively communicate technical challenges, dependencies, and blockers

• Continuously improve development processes, engineering practices, and team productivity

Performance, Scalability, and Reliability

• Design and optimize systems for high availability, scalability, performance, and resilience

• Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks across applications, APIs, databases, and distributed services

• Implement and promote effective logging, monitoring, tracing, and observability practices

• Ensure production systems are reliable, secure, fault-tolerant, and production-ready

• Participate in incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions

Continuous Improvement and Technical Strategy

• Drive technical improvements, modernization, and refactoring initiatives

• Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and practices, introducing them where they add measurable value

• Establish and maintain engineering standards, architectural guidelines, and technical documentation

• Promote knowledge sharing through technical sessions, code reviews, and mentoring

• Act as a technical bridge between engineering, product, and management, communicating progress, risks, and architectural decisions clearly
