Accounting Associate

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will support various financial and regulatory processes and contribute to maintaining accurate records and reports in compliance with local and internal standards. This is a hybrid position, with 2–3 days per week in the office in Paphos as a standard, but you're welcome to come in more often if preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of accounting entries;

  • Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and statements;

  • Participate in monthly closings and reconciliations;

  • Collaborate with the IT/development team to help improve financial systems and tools;

  • Assist with internal and external audit processes;

  • Supporting cash management (monitoring balances, liquidity overviews);

  • Contribute to improving internal controls and documentation;

  • Provide general support to the Finom Group Finance Department.

What We’re Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;

  • Up to 2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or reporting (experience at a financial institution is a plus);

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and/or regulatory reporting (IFRS/Dutch GAAP is a plus);

  • Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software;

  • Excellent Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data management);

  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills;

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), knowledge of Greek would be an advantage;

  • Comfortable working both independently and in a team;

  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced, international environment.
