QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a backend QA Automation Engineer with strong Python skills and over 5 years of testing experience and 3+ years of Python experience. Knowledge in fintech is very important. Experience in trading or working with exchanges is a big plus.

Job description

• Analyze requirements carefully and thoughtfully — good analytical skills are essential

• Create test scenarios for both functional and non-functional testing

• Work with a model-based testing approach, meaning you need a strong understanding of model design and trading specifics

• Test components of the exchange core and the overall system

• Write automated tests for API and backend in Python (minimal manual testing)

• Maintain and develop the Python automation framework

• Review automation code from your teammates

• Keep testing documentation up to date and assist with project documentation

Qualifications

You have:

• Solid skills in test analysis and test design

• Strong experience in Python automation

• Highly preferred: Good understanding of API testing

• Experience with non-functional testing

• Ability to work well in a team

• Confident working in the Linux shell (basic scripting, log analysis, managing services)

• Will be a plus: Experience testing exchange cores or similar systems

• Personal experience with trading

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems

• Ability to read C++ code

• Basic SQL skills for checking developer queries and analyzing migrations
